Porcelain

Porcelain technology continues to evolve at an incredible pace and it’s getting harder to tell the difference between natural stone, concrete and timber effect products, and the real thing. Added to this there are porcelain products that have Anti-Odour, Anti-Pollution, Antibacterial and Self-Cleaning capabilities.

We can supply porcelain in large-format slab and tile formats which are ideal for accentuating space with less frequent grout lines to disrupt the flow of floors and walls.

We can also supply tiles in internal and external finishes to seamlessly flow from indoors to outside.

Porcelain slabs are one of the best surfaces currently available for worktops, the range resembles natural marbles and adds an elegant look to your home.

Porcelain slabs are made from fine clay and minerals, fired in a kiln at temperatures reaching 100c, owning to the high temperatures and their composition they slabs have a high heat and UV resistance. They are:

• UV and heat resistant
• Chemical resistant
• Water resistant
• Frost resistant
• Stain resistant

Porcelain Vs Granite

Porcelain has less porosity, especially when compared to natural materials like Granite. So it is a dream to clean and the resistance to moisture prevents growth of
bacteria/fungi. Porcelain colours are much more uniform as compared to Granite, which often has defects or inconsistencies in the pattern.

Porcelain Vs Marble

The scratch resistance of Porcelain and the fact that it does not stain easily is a plus over traditional marble which is not as hard, Porcelain does not fade in sunlight and is easier to maintain.

Porcelain Vs Quartz

Both Materials come in designs that are similar to natural stone, unlike Quartz, Porcelain is not sensitive to direct heat exposure like hot pans or pots. As it is UV and
heat resistant, Porcelain can be used in outdoor spaces.
